“Night Breaks In”- Original sculpture by MJ Seal. Paper ephemera, sackcloth, PVA glue and acrylic, approximately 22” x 24” x 10”. C. 2020
I always strive to make my work look alive and I am quite happy with how this one came out 🤗
It looks interesting resting on the ground as well as reaching out of the wallThe “tentacles” reaching out shimmer with layers of iridescent paints and little Star-like dots.I like how the frayed edges of the sackcloth resemble little roots spreading out. They are flexible and can kind of move about on their own with a little help from gravity.I like to reward the observant and there is no shortage of texture and details in this one to do just that.I made several little “offshoots” to hang around the edges of the main structure- kind of like immature suckers sprouting up around it.
WOW❣❣

Danke 🙏 And I am working on that- at this point the main stumbling point is everything being closed- including the borders 🙄
