A forest of threads in kelly green-
Seriously the color is not exaggerated- it’s like a green dragon floating on the wall!
“Verdant Form”- Original sculpture by MJ Seal. Cotton threads, PVA glue, paper mache, acrylic paint and beeswax paste. Approximately 50″ x 23″
This piece has been finished for over a month but I had to make a new background (it wouldn’t fit on the piece of canvas I was using) and then had to wait for the weather to cooperate for an outdoor photo shoot (better lighting)- and today it finally did🤗
If anything I think the green hue in these pictures are more subdued than in real life.
this vivid dragon has gone through quite some adventures and is looking for the ones ahead 🙂

Haha- yes! Hopefully it will have an adventure that lands it on a gallery wall -🤞. For the time being it looks pretty spiffy in my hallway. 🤗

I wasn’t trying to make an abstract green dragon- but seeing it from a distance against a plain background that’s the first thing that popped into my mind- hmmm- c’est la vie!

Merci! I’m glad it came out as organic looking as it did- it was a lot of work .
