Essentially Done- A Small Forest Of Thread

Detail of an original sculpture by MJ Seal made from thread and paper mache that resembles some primitive, emerald green forest of vines

A little beeswax paste (to coat) and this small landscape will be ready to hang-

“Primitive Forest”- Original sculpture by MJ Seal. Cotton thread, paper mache and PVA glue with acrylic paint. 24″ x 11″

After coating the whole piece in a glaze of emerald green (pthalo green blue shade and nickle azo gold) I then applied a thin transparent layer of nickle azo gold. Fait amusant: Glazing over a green with a transparent yellow layer will really make it glow.

I applied the golden glaze more thickly in certain parts to give little hints of yellow here and there.
