Inspirations- La Foret D’Automne

A golden canopy of Hickory leaves photographed by MJ Seal in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia

It was way to nice to spend the day indoors Thursday- so I played hooky and went for a walk in the woods instead

😊

It was unusually warm- the sky was a brilliant, crystal blue and the colors were at peak. Enjoy –

The colors are not exaggerated in these photos by the way
And when I say brilliant, crystal blue I mean a brilliant, crystal blue- the north sky was almost an ultramarine.
I think this was the best fall foliage I have ever seen around here
Some interesting foliose fungus with tawny autumnal colors was seeping out of this tree trunk
Milk snake? It didn’t hiss or rattle
It was like every surface had been dusted with gold leaf

    1. Merci beaucoup 🙏 It was a stunning afternoon and I was trying to absorb as much as possible since it might be my last jaunt in that foret- my Moms selling the property soon so I’ll need to find some new stomping grounds- luckily there are plenty of places to hike around here!
